- The area development, environmental planning and projects (GOP) department carries integrated planning processes, among other things, in function of the preparation of regional spatial implementation plans. Within these processes, it is investigated to what extent an existing or planned area of attention can be exposed to the risks of major accidents related to the presence of hazardous substances in an existing or planned Seveso device in the vicinity of this area of attention. It exposes potential problems, and can possibly make recommendations to prevent or resolve them. Performing this scientific assessment requires an expertise, for which the GOP Department wishes to address recognized VR expert (s). The GOP department appeals to VR expert (s) for this assignment. Integrated planning process Since 1 May 2017, the decree of 1 July 2016 amending the regulations for spatial implementation plans is in force. On Friday, February 17, 2017, the Flemish Government approved an Implementation Decree on this decree.
