- The playground of the Free Middle School Zonhoven, with an area of ​​approximately 24 are, is due for renovation to meet contemporary safety and usage requirements. The current paving consists entirely of outdated concrete tiles (30x30 cm) that show signs of wear, such as loose and broken tiles. This is an increasing safety risk for the students and makes a sustainable renovation necessary. In addition, within the school community - among students, parents and the school team - there is a widely supported need for shady places, resting zones and educational elements to make the playground more attractive and functional. The current space is completely paved, and natural elements such as landscaping are missing. The new interior must find a balance between play and rest zones, educational functions, and space for the large number of users, with currently 450 students. With this renovation we strive for a safe, stimulating and sustainable playground that meets modern expectations and where various functions can come together harmoniously.
